Primary Mission
Maintaining Recreational Peace Through Strategic Snack Distribution
About the Office
The Office of Snack-Based Negotiations serves as the Federation's official diplomatic agency responsible for resolving recreational disputes before they unnecessarily escalate into damaged friendships, scorekeeping arguments, prolonged silence, or awkward rides home.
For decades, Federation negotiators have successfully demonstrated that very few recreational disagreements survive the introduction of quality snacks.
The Office remains committed to preserving peace through diplomacy, common sense, and properly timed beef jerky.
Founding Incident
The Office traces its authority to one of the earliest recorded Federation negotiations.
During an active recreational debate regarding the proper ruling of a disputed golf incident, one participant unexpectedly introduced premium beef jerky into the proceedings.
Another participant requested a piece.
Moments later, everyone else requested a piece.
The debate immediately shifted from scorekeeping to discussing the finest beef jerky everyone had ever eaten.
Someone eventually observed that it was nearly lunchtime and suggested calling the hole a par before heading to the clubhouse.
The motion passed unanimously.
The dispute was never revisited.
This event established the official Federation doctrine now known as Snack Arbitration.

Official Office Policy
The Office maintains that most recreational disputes can be peacefully resolved through respectful conversation, reasonable compromise, and appropriately timed snack distribution.
Historical evidence continues to demonstrate that premium beef jerky significantly improves diplomatic outcomes.
Current Department Notice
The Office is currently experiencing an unusually high volume of negotiations involving premium beef jerky allocation, breakfast tacos, post-round meal selection, unauthorized french fry sampling, and the last cookie.
Federation Advisory 24-17 reminds all participants that opening another player's beef jerky without expressed permission may constitute a Class II Recreational Trust Violation.
Related Federation Departments
All negotiated agreements remain in effect unless additional premium beef jerky is introduced into the proceedings, tacos unexpectedly arrive, or someone, somewhere, presents a considerably better snack.
